Roles & Responsibilities

As a Trainee Kitchen Fitter, you will be aiding in the installation and fitting of new kitchens in people’s homes. You will be hard working, with a willingness to learn and follow company guidelines around working standards and health and safety. The role of a Trainee Kitchen Fitter is rewarding and once fully trained you will be able to fit a kitchen from concept to completion without assistance.

Day-to-day tasks will include removing existing units and preparing new ones as well as attaching décor accessories such as handles, panels, plinths and cornice. Part of the role will also be to aid the Lead Kitchen Fitter with preparing and installing Laminate, Compact Laminate and Solid Timber worktops. You may also be required to assist in the preparation of kitchen plumbing, e.g. pipe bending, attaching compression fittings and fitting sinks and taps.

 

Full training will be given for all aspects involved in the role therefore no experience is necessary. All we require is a candidate who is willing to learn and not afraid to get involved in all aspects of the job.

 

Working hours will be 08:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday with a one hour unpaid lunch break each day. Additional overtime may be available in peak times

Most of our business comes in the form of kitchen refurbishments and installations, however we offer a wide range of interior products and services including Fitted Bedroom Furniture, Utility Rooms, Boot Rooms, Skirting & Architrave and much more.

Salary & Benefits

Due to the nature of this role, we will be offering the successful candidate a salary of £13,500. There may also be the option of overtime in peak times at a pre-agreed rate. We also offer a company pension scheme and allow all of our team members to take advantage of our trade discounts with suppliers if they need to source materials for their own homes or for friends and family.

All team members will be subject to a quarterly review meeting where they may be offered a salary increase, dependant on performance and attitude.
